Wildlife | Lowlandman’s Bay and Brosdale Island

Atlantic grey seals and in the Spring/Summer you will see pups as they are born about May/June time. As per any wildlife sighting there is no guarantee but being part of the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT) sightings network we can take passengers to the most current areas of interest where you may also encounter common dolphins, porpoise and occasionally Minke whales.

Also on this trip you will see where the lighthouse keepers used to reside at Lowlandmans Bay. They maintained the Skervuile Lighthouse and Na Cuiltean until 1975 when the last lighthouse was automated.

You will also travel south past Crackaig, and then onto Brosdale, near Ardfin where we often encounter 2 set of Sea Eagles and numerous wild goats. The boathouse where the band KLF famously burned 1 million pounds in 1994 is also visible from this location.
